Totland Bay Pier
Totland Bay Pier was designed by S.H. and S.W. Yockney and is 450 ft from land to pier head, the walkway is 14 ft wide, the pier head is 88ft by 52 ft.
It was originally opened in the summer of 1880 to accept steamer traffic from Lymington and Yarmouth which was later extended to accept excursions around the island.
It has gone through many ownerships and remains privately owned but is available for small private functions including location shooting for TV and film productions.
The pier head contains a 13ft by 34ft building with running water and electricity which would make a nice summer retreat.
