All Saints church Freshwater

All Saints church Freshwater is medieval in construction and one of the oldest churches on the Isle of Wight. It is listed in the Domesday survey of 1086.

Amongst it's later claims to fame inside the church are a marble memorial commemorating the Poet Laureate Alfred Lord Tennyson. His wife, Emily and son, Hallam are buried in the church yard.
